Field of use

Vomacur 50mg (pack size: 20 pc) is a medicine against nausea and vomiting from the group of H1 antihistamines. It is used to prevent and treat travel sickness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

Mode of action

The active ingredient dimensing hydrinate reduces nausea and vomiting that are not the cause of chemotherapeutic treatment and prevents travel sickness. Dimenhydrinate counteracts the surplus of distributed histamine by binding himself to the H 1 receptors.

Contradictions

Vomacur 50mg (pack size: 20 pcs) must not be taken

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against dimen hydrinate, other antihistamines or one of the other components of the preparation
• with acute asthma attack
• with green star (Engwinklaucoma)
• if you are suffering from a adrenal tumor (Phäochromocytom)
• if you suffer from a disturbance of the production of the blood pigment (porphyria)
• if the prostate gland (prostate hyperplasia) is enlarged with residual urine formation
• if you suffer from seizures (epilepsy, eclampsia)

dosage

Application recommendation of vomacur 50mg (pack size: 20 pc):

Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.

The dosage of dimen hydrinate should be based on the body weight of the patient. In smaller children, a one -time gift of relieving the symptoms can be sufficient. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, daily doses of 5 milligrams per kilogram of body weight should not be exceeded. This means that children with a body weight of less than 30 kg generally should not receive more than 2 tablets a day.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

• Adults and young people over 14 years
  • take 1 - 2 tablets 1- to 4 times a day (corresponding to 50 - 400 mg of dimensions), but no more than 8 tablets/day (corresponding to 400 mg dimensory/day).
• Children from 6 to 14 years
  • take 1 to 3 times a day 1/2 - 1 tablet (corresponding to 25 - 150 mg of dimensions), but no more than 3 tablets/day (corresponding to 150 mg of dimensions/day).
  • The preparation is available as suppository for children up to 6 years.

 

• Duration of the application
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the medicine is intended for a short -term application. A doctor should therefore be consulted with persistent symptoms. After 2 weeks of treatment at the latest, your doctor should check whether treatment with the preparation is still required.

Taking

The tablets are to be uncovered and with plenty of liquid.

Patient information

Particular caution when taking the drug is required at

• restricted liver function
• Heart rhythm disorders (e.g. Heart)
• Potassium or magnesium deficiency
• slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
• certain heart disease (congenital QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, arousal disorders, arrhythmias)
• simultaneous use of medicines that also extend the so-called QT interval in the EKG or lead to hypocalaemia
• chronic breathing difficulties and asthma
• Consequence at the output of the stomach (pylorus stenosis)

In these cases, the preparation may only be taken after consultation with the doctor.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • Sleepiness, memory disorders and reduced ability to concentrate can have a negative impact on the ability to drive or the ability to work with machines. This applies in particular to inadequate sleeping time, when treating treatment and preparation change as well as in interaction with alcohol.

Pregnancy

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking it.

Pregnancy

• Find your doctor if you are pregnant or plan pregnancy. Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the preparation, can lead to triggering premature labor. The safety of the drug in pregnancy is not proven. A risk cannot be ruled out for dimen hydrinate due to clinical data.
• You may only take the preparation after consulting your doctor and only if he considers an intake necessary.

Breastfeeding

• Find your doctor if you breastfeed. Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the preparation, passes into breast milk. The safety of the drug during breastfeeding is not proven.
• Since unwanted effects, such as increased unrest not to be excluded to the breastfed child, they should either not take the preparation during breastfeeding or wean in the time of taking the drug.

Hints

Keep out of reach of small children.

Suitable for children from 6 years.

To prophylaxis of the travel sickness, the first gift takes place about 1/2 - 1 hour before the start of the trip. To the THerapie of nausea and vomiting, the gifts are distributed throughout the day at regular intervals.

After using dimen hydrinate, light sensitivity to the skin can occur, therefore avoid direct sunlight.
