Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should it be used?
Instill the medicine into the conjunctival sac of each eye. Tilt your head back to apply. After instilling the drops, slowly close your eye and gently press your finger on the tear duct between the nose and inner eyelid.
Avoid touching the applicator tip with eyes/parts of your face or objects.
Reclose the container immediately after use.

Duration of use?
You should not use this medicine for longer than 8 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose?
If the medicine is used as directed, no symptoms of overdose are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

Indications

- Bacterial conjunctivitis

- Bacterial inflammation of the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye

- Bacterial infection of the eyelid margin

- Bacterial inflammation of the lacrimal sac of the eye

- Disinfection before surgical procedures on the eye (conjunctival sac)

Mode of action

How does the active ingredient in the drug work?

The active ingredient hexamidine prevents the proliferation of various bacteria and fungi. In high concentrations, it can also kill them. It therefore has a disinfectant effect.

1 mg hexamidine diisethionate

0.58 mg hexamidine

+ Boric acid

+ Disodium tetraborate

+ Sodium chloride

+ Water for injections

Zamidine^® 1 mg/ml eye drops, solution.

Active ingredient:
Hexamide diisetionate.

Indications:
Eye antiseptic against bacteria and locally effective disinfectant for the treatment of certain infections of the eye and adjacent structures, such as: E.g.: Inflammation of the outer membrane of the eye (conjunctivitis); inflammation of certain parts of the eye such as the conjunctiva and cornea (keratoconjunctivitis); localized inflammation of the eyelids, often near the eyelashes (blepharitis); chronic inflammation of the lacrimal sac (dacryocystitis), and for disinfecting the conjunctival sac before surgery.

Warnings:
Keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
