Field of use

• To prevent the symptoms of travel sickness (kinetosis) such as dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

Contradictions

• When are you not allowed to take the medicine?
  • In the case of known hypersensitivity to ginger root stick powder and/or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

• The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed the medicine otherwise. Please adhere to the application regulations, otherwise the medicine cannot work properly!
• How often and in what amount should you take the medicine?
  • Adults and children over 6 years take 2 hard capsules half an hour before the travel and then 2 hours of hard capsules with sufficient fluid (preferably a glass of water) unscrewed.
  • No more than 10 capsules should be taken per day.

 

• How long should you take the medicine?
  • The duration of the application is not in principle limited. However, please note the information under category "Patient notice".

 

• What should be done if the preparation is taken in too large quantities (intended or accidental overdose)?
  • If the drug is taken to large amounts of the drug, an influence on blood clotting with increased tendency to bleed cannot be excluded. Please notify a doctor. This may decide on the necessary measures.
  • The side effects listed in category "side effects" may also occur.

 

• What do you have to consider if you have taken too little or forgot an intake?
  • If you have taken too little of the medicine or have forgotten the intake, do not take the double amount next time, but continue with taking you as prescribed by your doctor or described as described above.

Taking

• The capsules should be taken with plenty of liquid.

• Prevention measures for the application and warnings
  • When can you only take the medicine after consultation with your doctor?
    • For gallstone disorders.
  • What precautions should be taken?
    • If pathological symptoms occur, especially if they last for more than a week or return regularly, a doctor should be consulted, as with all unclear complaints.
    • Since it cannot be ruled out that ginger root stick -containing preparations increase the willingness to bleed, this medicine must be stopped before surgery. Please inform your doctor in good time, who will decide on how to proceed.
    • If you take blood clotting drugs from the Cumarin type (phenprocoumon and warfarin), you should ask a doctor before taking the drug, since the dosage of these medicines may have to be adjusted (see interactions). Therefore, when the coagulation parameters are taken at the same time, up to 14 days after the drug is stopped.
    • Since the preparation can increase the absorption of sulfaguanidine, these two medicines must not be used at the same time.
  • What about children in childrenkehnsight?
    • There is no sufficient experience in the application of the drug in children under 6 years. It should therefore not be used in children under the age of 6.

Pregnancy

• There is no sufficient examinations to use the drug in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Clinical studies have given no indication of the development of malformations after brief use. There is no sufficient data for chronic use.
• The drug should therefore not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

- Since the drug can cause tiredness in individual cases, in road traffic or in activities that require good responsiveness, special caution is required.
