Zovirax Duo 50mg/g / 10mg/g Cream
Active ingredients: acyclovir, hydrocortisone
Indications: Treatment of early signs and symptoms of recurrent herpes labialis (cold sores) to reduce the progression of Cold sore episodes to ulcerative lesions in immunocompetent adults and adolescents (12 years and older).
Warning: Contains cetylstearyl alcohol, propylene glycol and sodium dodecyl sulfate. Pharmacy only.

ZOVIRAX Duo 50mg/g / 10mg/g Cream

• Zovirax Duo is the only over-the-counter cold sore cream that contains an antiviral agent (aciclovir) and an anti-inflammatory agent (hydrocortisone). Grab it at the first tingle!

Zovirax Duo is doubly effective:

Good to know: Apply Zovirax Duo at the first sign of tingling, tightness or itching. The sooner you start treatment, the better the chances that blisters and crusts won't form in the first place.

Common cold sore triggers include:
• Emotional stress
• Exhaustion, tiredness
• Hormonal changes
• Intense UV radiation
• Cold and dry weather
• Flu and cold

Application:
It is recommended to start treatment as soon as possible, preferably at the first sign or discomfort (e.g. tingling, redness or itching) Apply to the affected area 5 times a day for 5 days. Wash hands before and after treatment.

Ingredients
The active substances are: aciclovir and hydrocortisone. One gram of cream contains 50 mg aciclovir and 10 mg hydrocortisone. The other ingredients are: thick liquid paraffin, white petroleum jelly, isopropyl myristate (Ph. Eur.), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cetylstearyl Alcohol (Ph. Eur.), Poloxamer 188, Propylene Glycol, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric Acid and Purified Water.

Apply as soon as you feel a tingling sensation on your lip, and either no cold sore will develop at all, or only a small blister.Best product I've tried since.

I've ordered this product several times for my mother; she swears by it.Relief comes quickly after application, thanks to the two active ingredients: acyclovir against the virus and hydrocortisone for burning and pain.We always keep a tube at home, just to be on the safe side!

The combination in Zovirax Duo works much faster for me than a cream containing only the active ingredient aciclovir.The cold sores disappear quickly and are – at least for me – also less painful.I always keep a tube on hand.
